On this tour you will visit the freshwater part of Lake Balkhash and the city of Priozersk.

Lake Balkhash is a closed lake, the western part of which is fresh, and the eastern part is salty. Balkhash is the second largest perennial salt lake (after the Caspian Sea) and 14th on the list of the largest lakes in the world. The lake is divided by a narrow peninsula into two parts with different chemical characteristics of water, and at the same time, fresh and salt water in the lake do not mix at all. Well, we suggest looking at the lake from the city of Priozersk, which is also of great interest.

This city has always been different from others. Priozersk was not on the map. The place was classified; to come here, you needed special permission. Planes flew to Priozersk, but the name of the airport was encrypted. The city was built for military and civilian personnel of the Sary-Shagan missile defense systems research site. New anti-missile missiles are being tested at the Sary-Shagan test sites even today, but this information is not secret, and anyone can get into the city at the moment. Priozersk, although a very small city, is very important for Kazakhstan. If suddenly someone decides to destroy our capital, or any other city, and sends a missile at it, then in small Priozersk a button is pressed, and the missile is shot down!
