Tour to Bear Falls and Lake Issyk 1-day
SUV TOUR TO LAKE ISSYK AND BEAR WATERFALL
BASIC INFORMATION

Our tour is an ideal option for those who want to see Almaty nature, but only have 1 day for the trip.

The car will be delivered to your hotel in the morning.

First, we head to the mountain lake Issyk, which is located not far from the city. The lake is surrounded by high mountains and spruce trees, and the water is very cold at any time of the year. The gorge itself abounds with wild apples and apricots during the season. Brave tourists can climb with a guide to the observation deck, which offers views of the lake and the Issyk River gorge.

On the way to the lake, we will visit the Issyk Museum, which is famous for the fact that the famous Golden Man was found in its place. The Golden Man is a warrior of the Saka period (4th-5th century BC), who was buried in a mound, dressed in exquisite, golden elements of clothing.

After visiting the lake, you will have lunch at a trout farm in the Turgen Gorge. Trout lives exclusively in clean, cold water, and the Turgen River is its ideal habitat. Trout from the Turgen Gorge was always delivered to the royal table during the reign of the Russian Empire. If for some reason you are not interested in trout, we can organize lunch outdoors and serve you home-made lagman for lunch.

After lunch we climb higher into the Turgen gorge, where the Bear Waterfall is located. This is one of three, but the most accessible waterfalls in the gorge. A simple path 900 meters long (one way) leads to it. Along the path there are large quantities of hawthorn, rosehip, barberry and raspberry.

Next, we will go back to the city of Almaty. The estimated time of arrival in the city is 17:00, but it may vary depending on your speed and wishes. We never rush tourists; travel at a pace that is convenient for you.
